Lenovo have announced “Constant Secure Remote Disable” (CSRD) will be available on all 2009 and future laptops. This feature essentially allows users to send a text (sms) message to the laptop using their mobile phone and disabling it for use. developed with help from Phoenix Technologies, the sms/text message accesses the BIOS and “flips the switch”.

So what this means is when you are mugged for your laptop the thief will hold you at knife point while he request your mobile and pin number as well !
