Nokia Expanding Into Laptop Market?

Posted in Tech by Neil Koster on March 2, 2009

Nokia’s CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo  said recently on Finish National television that Nokia were “looking very actively also at this opportunity”. The opportunity he was talking about was the question we have all been wondering about: Will Nokia make Laptops and Netbooks? It seems the company’s plan to defend its mobile phone network includes a plan of attack. The attack being on the lucrative netbook/Laptop market. It makes sense when you consider they make good technology that works well. Nokia phones are easy to use, easy to navigate through the menu’s, they don’t drop calls and they look good where it counts- in your hand. This, coupled with Nokia’s excellent reputation for delivering on time, should set them up as major player in the future. Symbian on a Netbook?  Easy! Do people know and trust Nokia? Yes they do.

I would definately buy a nokia laptop. Their name has always been inextricably linked to quality. Would I  choose one over MSI, Asus, HP, Dell, Acer? Again, yes I would. Go for it Nokia!
