2TB Caviar Green hard drive

Posted in Tech by Neil Koster on January 14, 2009

Western Digital have announced the  WD20EADS which is essentially a 2 terabyte (2000 GB) Drive. With 32MB cache, an 8.9-millisecond seek time this should give Western digital the edge over rivals Hitachi and Seagate who have been rumoured for some time to be about to release a 2 TB drive. Now many will say “who needs a 2TB drive? ”  Well you have your “movie buffs” , your “porn dudes” and your “legitimate YouTube watchers” that’s who! Other than those groups -nobody needs 2 terabytes on a personal level.
