It is quite common knowledge that the adoption rate for Blu-ray discs is not, er great. DVD sales are still outstripping BR by a huge margin and many people just can’t see the difference. DVD’s are also cheaper but not for long as Sony, Phillips and Panasonic are planning to streamline the licensing firm for Blu-ray media which should dramatically lower the costs of the format. How low? 40 percent lower seems to be the concensus. Looks like it won’t be long until BR is as cheap as DVD! Can’t wait. Cheaper players, burners and discs!
